A blessed homeschool field trip we took to Jireh Hills, they did a good job accommodating our rather large group.Allowing us to be hands on with the animals was super fun for all age.Beautiful land that our children got to run and play during lunch break, and do some exploring on their own. A knowledgeable family that answered all our questions!Looking forward to visiting again, and seeing what they will add to the farm next!I give 5 stars ⭐️ but I would like to see some more features/options added to the already existing program especially for the older grades 🙂 I’m sure this can be done upon request with your visit .~ SaraGrace Heritage Homeschool Group

This is our 3rd trip to Jireh Hills Family Homestead in 4 years. Our grandchildren have loved it every time and have requested to come back again. Cheryl and her daughters do a wonderful job keeping the visit with the goats and other animals very interesting. This time they learned how goats are milked and how to tell if an egg is fertilized, as well as goat snuggles, bunny snuggles and getting up close and personal to the other animals. Will definitely come back again.

Awesome experience with Overnight stays in the rv . Cottages were also available. Kids had a wonderful time with farm animals. Very sweet family welcoming you. Don’t just be here for the night stay , come for the farm experience

Lovely family farm. Grandma and kids all have fun. The little goat acts like a doggy🥰 kissing us a lot. Wish we can come to visit again next year.

We recently had my daughters 7th birthday party at Jireh Hills Family Homestead, and despite the lousy weather we had an amazing day. Cheryl and John along with their children were amazing hosts. We were able to interact with several of their farm animals including the goats, pigs, horse and bunnies. After the farm tour, John made us a camp fire where we were able to roast our own hotdogs and marshmallows! The day was very memorable and we appreciated the effort Cheryl put in to find alternative activities to keep us sheltered from the rain. I look forward to coming back for a cheese making or soap making class!!

What a great visit! Cheryl was so helpful with arrangements. A wonderful unique experience for my family to learn how to make soap. The most lovely people, animals and beautiful land. My impression of goats has now changed for the better!

This is an amazing place with the sweetest people and animals! My entire family and I stayed in the RV and it was a wonderful new experience. Everything here from the animals, soaps, and fresh produce to the RV was delightful. Definitely recommend staying here. Thank you so much to Cheryl(Mama Bear) and her lovely family!

Cheryl Charlton is a highly experienced cheese and dairy-product maker as she cares for her family of eight children. It was great to learn from her wealth of knowledge in her cheese class. It can be intimidating to make your own cheese but she makes it achievable!

We booked to stay in the RV on the beautiful property June 2023. It was just perfect! The camper overlooked the field of alpacas and goats! Camper was clean. Fresh bedding, towels, flushable toilet, stocked with fire wood, coffee pods for keurig, propane for BBQ outside. Everything you need.Our 5 year old enjoyed the goat milking and feeding. Free range chickens were a highlight with fresh eggs for breakfast!!We experienced walking the 3 male alpacas! It was a highlight for sure.Cheryl and her family are so welcoming and wonderful hosts! So polite and pleasant and allowed our son to partake in chores.Highly recommend this for young families. Nap time took over our chance to explore the forest...Will save it for next time!Thanks again

We attended Jireh Hill's Farm and Forest School and my 5 year old loved every second of it! This family is welcoming, kind, and great teachers! So thankful I found their homestead and can't recommend enough!! We will for sure be back! 🙂

My friends and I took a cheesemaking class at Jireh Hills Family Homestead! Cheryl was super knowledgeable and made it fun for my 8-year old daughter to learn too. Her daughter Ruth-Ann was also a wealth of knowledge and super fun to have around! They also included a tour of their farm, including their farm animals and snuggles with some baby goats. Everyone had a great time. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing farm!!!Didn’t expect such great experience! We came with our kids without appointment today as we didn’t know that you should book before and owner gave us a tour around the farm. What can I say, it’s clean, well cared and friendly animals, our kids were thrilled! Owners such a nice people, so friendly and welcoming, I’m sure they had a lot of work around the farm but they took time to show us everything and explain without rush.Definitely will return!!!!

I took my grandsons to Jireh Hills during March break, and they absolutely lived it. The family was so welcoming to us, and we learned a lot about the farm. The kids loved being able to see all of the animals, especially the baby goats.

The world at its best! This family could not create any better experience- we could have stayed all day and still found things to enjoy. Every detail has been meticulously thought out. I highly recommend a trip to Jireh Hills Farm for everyone under the age of 70!!! Thank you! We cannot wait to return

We have had 2 visits in the last month at Jireh Hills, on family day and March break. Each farm visit had its own individual excitement for the kids and the big kids. We are a family of 5, kids ages range from 14-7. All had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to go back. Over our two visits we held baby pigs, baby goats, visited goats in the front pasture, fed alpacas (they likes apples 😉), groomed ponies, played with puppies, shown how the milking process would work, enjoyed roasting hot dogs on the fire, and enjoyed a walk in the trails. We have the best photos to capture our days memories we took during our experience. Cheryl and family are some of the kindest people you will ever meet and share their love of animals with you. You leave with cuddles and a wealth of information and knowledge.

This place is amazing. We stayed overnight in their trailer with our two little ones and couldn’t have had a more memorable experience. They really made every effort to include us in their day to day farming experience and were so accommodating. I cannot express how much my children enjoyed this experience. The only thing that disappoints me is my delay in posting this review.

Visited with a group of coworkers and friends, had a great time with lots of laughs! Very friendly hosts, even friendlier goats, beautiful property, and great evening wrapped up with a campfire and hot chocolate. Definitely recommend bringing your little ones for a fun family outing.

Our family enjoyed the farm tour, goat petting and short hike. If the weather had cooperated we would have also enjoyed a fire pit with hot dogs, fixings and marshmallows provided. Would recommend for families or weekend dates.

My children and I enjoyed a fun, relaxed and engaging farm tour with Cheryl and her lovely daughters. Our highlight was snuggling fresh baby bunnies and goats. Cheryl was happy to teach us all about the animals as we peppered her with questions. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful farm experience! We will definitely be back and spread the word.

My family visited the Jireh Hills Family Homestead back in August. It was an excellent experience from the from the moment we arrived there. Cheryl and her family are really wonderful. They have very well mannered children. My daughters' made friends with the girls and they all had a great time playing together. I have nothing but to say positive things about Cheryl, her husband John Marks and all their children. They made us feel like home. We definitely look forward to visiting them again soon (perhaps in winter).

I happened to book their event by randomly seeing an Ad. We visited them a week back with my brothers family and we all enjoyed our evening thoroughly. We highly recommend Jireh Hills for family getaways especially if you have kids. It was fun watching all the different farm animals, snuggling the little goats, bottle feeding them, watching and involving kids in milking them... Kids had a blast!! Cheryl and John along with their kids are such an inspirational family.. they explain farm facts with lot of love and warmth to kids and ensure they get to participate in what they do. Your kids will definitely cherish this experience. They even have started camping at their farm this year.Thankyou Jireh Hills family!

My daughter and I had such a fun experience at Jireh Hills! We loved seeing all of the animals and snuggling with the baby goats. Cheryl and family are so nice and make the experience a wonderful one! It was such a nice outdoor adventure full of nature, animals as well as educational. My family enjoyed the tour at Jireh Family Homestead. They do a tour where you get to play with the goats, feed the baby goats a bottle and walk with alpacas. It was hands on education and lots of interactive for children and families. It's worth a trip. Loved how family focused it was and their family is so lovely and all chip in at the farm to make your family feel welcome. It's a new business with growing visions. Look forward to see how it grows!

We have visited Cheryl and John Mark’s family farm on four occasions and can’t wait to visit again. We love the interaction with all of the animals and the educational aspect as well. The animals are very well cared for and as a result, are very friendly. I highly recommend visiting!

What a great day with the family. My children enjoyed the tour of the farm as well as the little hike around the property. The owners are very informative. If you’re looking for a day out of the city with lots of fresh air and fun with friendly animals, this is a great choice.

Had an amazing time visiting Jireh Hills with my family. My daughter is obsessed with goats and was definitely in heaven snuggling with all the babies. Even the rest of us who were not originally goat obsessed now have a new love for the sweet animals. The rest of the farm was also beautiful and we are very much looking forward to going back to walk the alpacas!

Grandchildren visited Jireh Hills this past Friday. It was their first time on a real farm. I chose the goat snuggling with a small farm tour as an option. Cheryl, an owner took her time with them, being patient and explaining the animals they interacted with.
Cheryl is so knowledgeable,not only about the animals on the homestead,but soap making,cheese making, home schooling plus other interests.
My daughter wants to eventually spend a night in their little cabins.
This was so worth the cost. There are a number of options to choose from. Next visit will be alpaca walks.
Thank you very much Cheryl and Jireh Hills for an unforgettable day for my daughter and grandkids.

We had the most amazing experience at Jireh Hills!! Cheryl and her family are the most wonderful hosts! We spent the morning cuddling brand new baby goats and playing with some of the older ones as well. Cheryl and her daughter were so great at passing on their knowledge of all things goats and we learned so much! We went as a group and my 10 month old daughter was with us as well - the goats were SO gentle and sweet with her! The farm is great for all ages! Jireh Hills is truly a gem of a place to visit!! 🐐

My bridal party and family brought me here for my bachelorette and we had the BEST day!! If you are looking for a way to de-stress before your wedding & bond with your girls in a fun, kid-friendly (i have 3 breastfeeding bridesmaids!!) and heart-filling way, this is the place to do it!

Between snuggling days-old baby goats to running around with the big ones, cuddling ducklings and chickens and learning SO much, we couldn’t stop talking about wanting to come back soon before we even left.

I can’t wait to try my goats milk soaps, the smell AMAZING 😍

Thank you for making it such a great day at Jireh Hills Family Homestead! We WILL be back and it can’t come soon enough! 🐐

Our family was blessed on Victoria Day with a visit at Jireh Hills Family Homestead. My 13 and 11yr old loved it!!
The entire Homestead family was welcoming and spent time showing us everything their farm had to offer. We spent time snuggling the goats 🐐 and seeing all of the newest baby goats in the nursery. We each got to feed them a bottle! The goats were definitely the highlight of our time spent. We had a tour of the other animals on the property, walked through the lovely Carolinian forest, admired the ponds and creeks and finished with a campfire with roasted hotdogs and marshmallows. Our visit ended with some wonderful goats milk soaps to take home and some beautiful “Easter” coloured fresh eggs from their coop.
We will definitely go back and I look forward to the overnight cabins they are adding!

We had such a fun time at this beautiful family homestead. Your family is so warm and welcoming that we felt we were with friends. You were so educational about the animals and my son absolutely loved hugging and playing with all the baby goats and interacting with the alpacas, rabbits and horses. We learned,laughed and felt so much love from all the animals. My son Bentley , will always remember warming up a baby chick after a swim. Your families hospitality was so warm and inviting. Thank you for the special Mother’s Day date you provided for my son and I.

We had such an amazing and educational time at Jireh Hills farm! Our kids just loved the animals and how interactive everything was. The family was so sweet and make such a good team! We got to witness one of the goats, Maple, have her triplets which is a rare opportunity for our kids to see. It was so treasured and something I hope they remember. Highly reccomend and we will deffinately be going back later to see updates on the farm! Thank you Jireh Hill's family, we had a blast!!!

We did one of the Winter Fun days with our family of six and loved it! Cheryl and her family are super hospitable and their enthusiasm for the farm is contagious. Lots of things to see and do and a beautiful area to walk around. Looking forward to visiting again

Love the goat farm! We had 2 great experinces when we did the goat encounter and the beginners goat course. Cheryl and her family are very friendly and knowledgeable. The barn is clean with a comfortable atmosphere. My family and I loved playing with the goats and learned so much. Looking forward to going again!
