Pony Encounters
A unique opportunity for all ages to be up-close and experience the amazing communication and body language between human and horse
Come and meet our friendly miniature ponies, Sapphire, Champ Chickadee, Star, Charlie, Winchester & Baby Trixie.
These girls are just the perfect size and temperament for children to groom, lead and hitch a small ride while they learn about how to care for and train these loveable creatures.
BONUS – watch a training session with our small horse, Winchester, and observe the amazing way he communicates with his handler.
Inspired by the love and affection that our own girls have shown to these ponies over the years, we wanted to share that special experience with others who dream about someday owning a pony of their own!
What to Expect:
During your visit, you and your children will:
- Come meet the ponies in the pasture or pen
- Learn how to pet and properly groom them from head to toe
- Learn about hoof trimming and care
- Learn how to halter and saddle a pony
- Walk your pony and get to know her
- Children will also have the opportunity to ride the ponies while our experienced leaders lead them slowly around (helmet required; maximum 100 lbs)
